Though damaged through shortsighted tourism schemes in the 1960s, these caves are still worth a visit for their eerie dark tunnels and stunning limestone formations.

Compared to other numerous caves that I have visited this one is right up there. We had the best guide Eric and he sings songs and is just a gem. He has the most beautiful deep African voice and you will be mesmerised so make...More

The vastness of the caves surprised me and the amount of time which passes so quickly is amazing. The caves are a must see and thankfully I chose the not too strenuous option as we had an elderly person as well as a young child...More

Did the short tour and we both agreed that these are the best caves so far we have seen in the world including USA. The way they are shown, the way the lighting has been installed, the paths are simply the nicest and best! We...More

We took the standard tour which lasts an hour and takes you to 4 halls in this vast cave system. There was also an adventure tour which lasts longer but involves crawling and contortions my wife didn't fancy. The tour was great all very easy...More

Visited in winter and booked onto the heritage tour, involving no confined spaces. Other tours were available going deeper but replica gaps in the foyer put us off. We walked around four chambers with some impressive formations. We were given a good amount of information...More

When we visited we had to wait an hour for the next tour due to the fact that all tickets for the tour were already sold. They do offer different kinds of tours every hour. During high season I would advise to make reservation online...More

Took the family on the shorter (60 mins) Heritage tour. Although cold outside, even at 09:00hrs once inside the caves atmosphere was humid. Knowledgable guide took us through the different chambers, pointing out the attractions. It was pleasing to see the lighting was subdued white...More

There are two types of visit available here - the heritage (a reasonably easy walk through the caves) and the adventure (a more demanding walk with some sections requiring decent mobility). I took the latter and with my guide, Theo (there was no-one else on...More

Great to see the Caves again. The guides are good and well informed. Do remember it quite humid inside the caves you don't need a jacket.

There are two tours to choose from. The basic tour is very accessible, but you need sensible footwear. The adventure tour is for fit agile, possibly experienced, cavers. It's a fantastic cave with excellent guide.
