Though damaged through shortsighted tourism schemes in the 1960s, these caves are still worth a visit for their eerie dark tunnels and stunning limestone formations.

A must visit when one is in South Africa. We had a great lady guide who sang to give us a chance to experience how the sound travels down in the caves. Amazing. Fantastic place and planning to come back there one day to do...More

Great that they have preserved this place so beautifully. Very neat and clean. We did normal heritage tour which was ok types. But the place inside is Aww experience, specially when the lights turns off.

Such an amazing face. Learned everything about the cave. Took some photos. But you have to go trough tunnels. That is when it gets scary. I almost got stuck in the tunnels. But this experience was unforgettable

An excellent guide took us into the mountain caves and gave on informative talk about the history. The lighting was used to great effect as each chamber was illuminated. There were excellent toilet/ café and gift shop facilities available on site.

well worth the visit to see the stalactites and stalagmites as well as our guide treating us to a beautifully sung rendition of the national anthem. when inside the caves it is very humid and there is nowhere to sit and rest!

Amazing array of stalactites and stalagmites – nature’s magnificient work of art in fully display, carefully curated over thousands of years. We had taken the Heritage tour (vs. the slightly more athletic Adventure tour) and were taken around for a roughly one hour long tour...More

Definitely worth a trip if you are in the area. The tour is fascinating and fun even if you aren’t into caving or geology or any of that kind of thing. We didn’t do the adventure tour as I can get claustrophobic and the spaces...More
