The Stellenbosch University Botanical Garden, located in the historical center of Stellenbosch, is the oldest university botanical garden in South Africa. This compact Garden houses an enormous diversity of plants, both indigenous to South Africa and exotic. The Garden is open to the public and admission is free. Although the Garden does not have a visitor parking area, a parking lot is located adjacent to the garden in Van Riebeeck Street.

Stellenbosch is a beautiful town. The gardens provide a quiet space in which to reflect on the town and surrounding wine region. I came not expecting much but will leave wanting to return.

Manoeuvring is an amazing space to just relax in nature. Time spent here is always very special. And is not just the location, the staff and owner is very Friendly and the food of high quality. This botanical garden in the centre of the university town might be small, but there is plenty to see and do and you could while away a couple of hours absorbing its many delights - or you could just whiz in and out and relax in the verdant outdoors cafe drinking a milkshake, scoffing cake or having a meal. That's a real botanical garden! Beautiful view from everywhere the mountains are all around the botanical garden, yo can find a stop order the many shades and enjoying the atmosphere, we been in the high season but you hardly feel all the people who enjoying the botanical garden the same time because the place is huge, Great place to go... We had couple of hours on our last day in stellenbosh so we visited the botanical garden. First it was normal then the big surprise happened when we reached water plant, something awesome that is a blessing to see. The gardens are small but very beautiful and in a good central location, on a hot summer's day you can do no better but have lunch in the charming restaurant under the trees in the middle of the gardens,
