Cape nature at its best. This seemingly untouched nature reserve is a wonderland of valleys, rivers and rolling hills of and fynbos and picturesque views.

Wow a spectacular walk, just amazing, cant take it all in at once. Will always remember the views, life is not about the number of breaths we take but rather the moments that take away our breath

Set in one of the prettiest valleys this is a popular spot for mountain bikers. There is an easy walk to the 1st waterfall and longer hikes for the more energetic.

Very easy to reach and nice place to visit for a few hours. The main MTB track is very doable and circular. You likely need a map to venture on other trails

Jonkershoek is unique in that it is close to a city but absolutely unspoilt, and very extensive in size. Sadly due to recent fires (2016 and 2011) the wildlife is much depleted but in general the fynbos is spectacular in spring and at other times...More

Need a good and solid dose of nature? Running water all year round, a variety of hikes varying between about 4 and 16 km. Without doubt the easiest escape from civilisation near Cape Town or Stellenbosch. Once you reach the starting point of the actual...More

At the entrance they will provide you with the map that has all the info, and the people are knowledgeable about the time it takes. Second waterfall is a bit small but nice nonetheless and is in a river ravine which is about... More

Thank you for your review! We will be visiting in September. My parents are joining us, who are 74 and 70. They are in reasonably good health. In your opinion, would this hike be difficult for people of that age? Thank you in advance!
