Once again I was fortunate to be able to join Simone with my guests, Candy + Jim and it was Jim's birthday. What a treat all round! The Brampton guys, the Oude Werf meal, the Delicious desserts all made his day very special. I learnt more about Stellenbosch from Simone who is a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable and caring. I highly recommend you go on the Bites and Sites tour of Stellenbosch - not only was it a great tour of this beautiful city, it was a great idea also to showcase some of the brilliant small businesses in the city whilst we were taken on the tour by Hanley. She provided expert knowledge also on the history of... More

In most cities, no matter how informative, the guided tours are just a little unremitting, offering only brief periods of respite in a church pew or on the steps of some magnificent building; but this Sights and Bites tour of Stellenbosch did precisely what it says on the tin. Yes, we got plenty of stories of the plucky pioneers and,... More

On a very hot afternoon we were given a guided tour of Stellenbosch under the title of Bites and Sites. The guide was Hanli and her enthusiasm shone through the afternoon. The concept is a simple but effective one. Provide some interesting local history whilst at the same time visiting various drinks and food outlets. Even though it was so... More

We met with Hanli for a guided tour around the old town centre which was combined with visiting a number of foodie places which let us sample what they had to offer. Hanli was an excellent host and made everyone welcome. She was very knowledgeable on the history of the old town centre and the food places we visited. All... More

A different take on Stellenbosch and we all absolutely loved it! Hanli or her colleagues guides you through the city center at a leisurely pace, tells you about the history and you discover these little places with the most amazing food and drinks. All handmade, local and oh-so delicious. The village museum was a bonus, we'd been wanting to visit... More

We booked a lond desired townshiptour with bites and sites. The welcome in Stellenbosch office was warm and 5 minutes later we were on our way to Kayamandi. We parked our car and started the tour walking with our friendly guide Awaa. She was born in this community and still lives there. A tour from a local is the best... More

My husband and I wanted to do a tour in wine country, but just one or two wineries, not all day. This tour was perfect! I loved getting to know the geography, feel and history of Stellenbosch. The great nibbles and wine tasting along the way were extra perks. Our guide was great, and all the drivers for transfers and... More

We're so glad you two enjoyed the Dine and Vine tour (which we do with the Stellenbosch Adventure Shop). We always recommend it for guests who only have one day in the region. We hope you have lots of fond memories! More

Stellenbosch is not only about wine tasting, a must do is absolute visiting the town ship. You 'll see a different South Afrika, no danger at all, 60.000 people live in this town ship. How they manage to keep everything so nice and clear is a mystery for me. We also had diner in a local house. Just perfect !... More
