Close encounter with giraffes!

Family visit with toddlers. Lots of animals to see and chickens roaming around but the highlight was the giraffes! Never in my life have we ever been so close to a Giraffe, or had... read more

I decided to go with my family as i heard many great reviews. I feel terrible to have given my money to this place. The animals looks sad unhaooy and not well cared for. There is no shade for them at all!!! The wild cat actually squished against the gate for a thin strip of shade. This place should be... More

Family visit with toddlers. Lots of animals to see and chickens roaming around but the highlight was the giraffes! Never in my life have we ever been so close to a Giraffe, or had one feeding from our hands (with their enormous grey tongues) and had the opportunity to stroke them as they did so. Kids loved it. We spent... More

I went there on a very sunny day...there was no shadow for the animals and it felt like a lager. I understand probably this is the only place where they could live but they should provide more care for the animals

Most important - they only accept cash! That said, we had very good time. Particularly enjoyed the show at 11 - don't miss it. Fun, informative and a tiny bit scary. :) The kids loved feeding the goats.

Giraffes were the only exciting aspect and the feeding platforms were locked so you couldn't get close. Not exciting, definitely not worth the visit or the entry fee.

Staff were very helpful , most the animals have nice enclosure. Little play areas for the kids . Giraffe come very close and feed from your hand . There's a referesment shop , there's a enough to entertain the family for 2-3 hrs , recommend if you are visiting Capetown and you want to spend a morning / afternoon

Some of those game viewing things in SA are better prisons. Not so here. The animals had pretty huge possibilities to move and looked fresh. Woth a stop

If you like giraffes this is a place to visit, they have two giraffes the first one you come to is a bit disappointing as couldn't get close enough to get a good photo. But further round we met Gerry who was delightful putting his head right over for a stoke & trying to grad the bucket of food. There are quite... More

A great day out for the kids, in a not-so-zoo Zoo. The staff was highly educational and friendly, it was very affordable and holding a large yellow python or hairy tarantula was the highlight of my 7 year old's day. Hats of to Pieter Oosthuizen for the informative trip!
