This is best explored on foot with a guide but a drive though also gives some idea of the history and colourful campus. Well worth seeing if you have time to spare.

We took a drive around and even went inside the university to explore. I was very impressed by the architecture and charm of the school and surrounding community. Defintely a student area but one will appreciate the charm about it.
This is one of the better universities in South Africa and one of the most traditional ones. It is a lovely school in a pretty town in the heart of the winelands.
I went there to participate in the conference and liked both the campus and city of Stellenbosch a lot.
The University museum in Stellenbosch is a informative museum it has exhibits about the university and is also an art museum. What's missing is information about the different cultures in in the University and the famous maties sports culture
