    Top notch with a view
To be honest I believe this estate will be hard to push down from first place during our stay in SA! It is so good and everything seems to be planned extremely well. Staff, as you could assume, is friendly, professional, well drilled with a smile on their face. Dont miss it.

The Jewel of the Cape Winelands - plain and simple
I‘ve been to the Delaire Graff Estate and it‘s several restaurants many times and every stay was very pleasant. Where to start? The location is not far away from Cape Town but far enough to make you feel that you are close to nature. The view(s) from the estate are breathtaking and the friendly staff takes care of every little detail - from the lovely gardens to the way they arrange the tables. The Delaire Graff signature wine(s) are, in my opinion, really enjoyable and the new Japanese restaurant (HŌSEKI) has some of the nicest Japanese food I‘ve yet had the pleasure to try.

Amazing wedding anniversary in South Africa staying at arguably one of the best boutique accommodations.
What an experience and how well we were looked after. When you plan a trip of a lifetime on your wedding anniversary you don’t want to be disappointed and we certainly were not. What an amazing setting, superb customer service so attentive and genuine. Lovely restaurants, fun wine tastings, luxurious accommodation with fantastic views. Loved the private plunge pool and decking. Thank You so much for looking after us. The special welcome treats for our anniversary and the entire experience will make this a trip one we will never forget. Food we remember most, the overnight Lamb joint, so moist and then crisp roasted outside just melted in the mouth. Washed down with your amazing Estate Rose and some gorgeous red wines. The Wine Tasting with your team was just so much fun and the wines we bought home looking forward to drinking this Xmas. We hope one day to return Than You again

If your used to 5 star , get ready for 10 star
Breathtaking scenery with unrivalled service. If you’re looking for a special occasion look no further than delaire graff . The scenery from the main pool or the privacy of your own lodge pool is just stunning , the attention to detail from the staff is fantastic . You are made to feel so welcome and special . Let me get started on the lodges , bedroom , bathroom , kitchen , dressing room , bathroom with shower and separate bath and separate toilet room . With a sundeck and private pool . It’s not a lodge it’s a house !! Detailed beautifully with art work , complementary soft drinks and snacks and a couple of cheeky beers . A complimentary laundry service is available aswel which is amazing . Turn down service with personalised letters telling you the following days weather and activities . The grounds gardens and vineyards are immaculately kept they truly are stunning . Now on a personal note all the staff were fantastic , but I really want to put the spotlight on Natasha . Me and my partner are expecting our first child and the way she went out of her way was incredible . A beautiful bouquet of flowers and a non alcoholic grape champagne awaited us in the room (and a normal bottle for me) as well as a pair of baby delaire graff slippers . Had the fight the tears back on this I can assure you I’m not ashamed to say it haha . She constantly checked in with us and made it ever so more special . On check out we got further gifts which was amazing . Natasha we can’t thank you enough and we will keep in contact . We are already planning our next visit to delaire . It truly is one of the most magical places on earth . Thank you for everything guys and see you soon . Mike and char

Award Wining Winery with Stunning Views
I visited with a group of friends recently. The scenery is breathtaking as the winery is nestled at the foothills of the Simonsberg Mountain and there are grapevines are far as the eye can see. This is an award-winning winery, and they take their wine seriously. It’s also one of the higher end venues. The restaurant and winetasting areas are impeccable and elegant. It was lovely to sit outside on the patio and do a wine tasting. We bought a few cheese and charcuterie platters were a nice accompaniment to the wine. There are several different tastings that you can choose from. We all agreed that the wines were excellent but at that price point, there are numerous other vineyards in the area turning out “smashable” wines at a more affordable price. This is special occasion wine. It’s worth a visit for the ambience and the wine.

Heaven on Earth- Stunning lodges & Views
My second time staying at this stunning estate and it just gets more beautiful every time. The views, the lodges, the wine, the amenities ( in house Wine fridge/ kitchen/snacks/stunning bathrooms), the sunsets all of it is beautiful. As well as two great restaurants on site. We were lucky enough to have our own private sunset wine tasting which was beautiful, as well as in room breakfast by the pool, taking advantage of the stunning views. The staff were very helpful and accommodating, but also left you to hibernate in the lodge undisturbed. My only feedback and to make the experience even more special would be to give hotel guests the opportunity to be shown around the vineyards on their golf buggy/ more of a tour and detail ( we did enjoy a run/walk around leisurely) but seeing as you are surrounded by the amazing vineyard, but would be great to know/see more, about what you are drinking- and even their cellar etc could be a nice touch. Maybe also a little spot/bar for a sunset/pre dinner drink near the pool/garden side where the sun is setting, additional to the restaurant terrace etc. Thank you again Delaire, literally up there with my favourite place in the world. I cannot wait to return from the UK again soon x Thank you Jess

    A magical lunch experience .
We visited here for lunch and can only describe it as an unbelievable experience from start to finish. Having booked via phone in early December we arrived to no record of our booking and a waiting list for lunch. You must book in advance. Having gone through it with the manger, phone records etc , he was superb and arranged a magnificent table for us . The views, the professional, friendly and extremely knowledgeable staff ensured we had a superb lunch with recommended accompanying wines in the most magical surroundings. All wines suggested were excellent and not the most expensive, they were paired to food not price . If you visit the wine region you must come to Delaire Graff for the views, the food, the wine and the excellent customer service. Treat yourself 👏👏😂

    Incredible experience
This truly is THE most beautiful place to stay. Our lodge was fabulous - the finer details that just make such a difference. Same day laundry (all included), complimentary snacks and drinks in the room, beautiful comfortable bed, impeccable room service and cleanliness. Highly recommend. Two beautiful restaurants. Incredible food - whether its breakfast, lunch or dinner. OUTSTANDING. And then … THE VIEWS! Wow - breathtaking views of the mountains and vineyards. The sculptures and gardens are just delightful. Staff helpful and informative.

Delair - vineyard and wine tasting - well worth a diversion
Had a wonderful cheese and charcuterie sharing platter with 4 tasting wines - 1 Rose, 1 Chardonnay and 2 red wines. We were really well looked after and informed by Agatha who provided us with some very detailed information about each of the wines we tried. We did not have a reservation but booked in on arrival and were accommodated after a very short wait. The staff were friendly, professional and efficient. We never felt rushed at any point during our visit and the manageress checked in with was twice during lunch to add information. The scenery was spectacular and I would highly recommend this visit to anyone travelling through this part of Stellenbosch - indeed it is well worth a diversion.

    Delaire Graaf estate. Magical.
This is the most beautiful place in Stellenbosch. It has the most majestic views of the Stellenbosch mountains. The driveway and gardens are scenic and magnificently maintained. The wines are of a great quality. Wine tasting in the shade of the trees gazing out at the wonder of the mountains is just magical. The painting “Chinese girl” by Vladimir Tretchikoff is on view. Beautiful. I get tears from the beauty of this place. It really moves me.

We visited the property amongst a number of vineyards in Stellenbosch.
The setting and the architecture are truly stunning and, despite the rating and the service, I would highly recommend a visit.
We primarily visited to experience the setting but did also opt for a wine tasting. Unfortunately our waiter was extremely disappointing, compared to every other experience in neighbouring vineyards there was zero passion and limited knowledge. I personally wanted to try a sparkling wine, which was included in the premium package, but I didn’t want the other wines within that package. I would have been happy to pay the premium price but choose the other wines from the cheaper selections. The waiter was completely inflexible, which was incredibly poor from a service perspective and completely illogical from a business sense.
I would like to say that we believe, from what we could overhear at neighbouring tables, that the other waiters had a far better approach and demonstrated far more passion, we spoke briefly to Dillon when we paid and he was fantastic! A real shame we were mot served by him!

We visited your Tasting Room yesterday. The tasting experience was very good, but to our surprise we had a bill of R1600 for 3 x bottles of Sauvignon Blanc and 5 x Tastings. The prize of Sauvignon Blanc is R190 in the tasting room, but to our surprise we paid the restaurant prize which was double.
It left a very bad taste to young professional consumers. It is not client friendly to South African consumers in these times

We were recommended for lunch but it was booked up so we drove up instead. The place exudes class with breathtaking views of the valley and hills. We did the wine tasting which was 85 rands- as cheap as chips- which was lovely enabling you to sample the ambiance.

Cannot fault the restaurant and beautiful views , service was excellent
Then we were left unable to get an Uber for 45 minutes in the baking sun.
Reception eventually recommended a local driver ‘winston’ who sent a driver 30 minutes later,do not use! The only time we’ve felt unsafe. A mini bus turned up with‘security’ and we were made to pay about 10 times the fare we’d paid to Uber, then he demanded a tip on top. Ruined a lovely day.
Very poor for such a lovely establishment.

The location of the restaurant allows panoramic views of the mountains, valleys and fields of vines spread out like a tapestry below. The menu is relatively limited which I like, it usually means that a restaurant will master what it is offering. We ordered starters and mains. The various starters ordered were flavoursome and well presented but no better than the other good restaurants in the area Rust en Verde, Le Motte, etc. Half the group ordered the rack of lamb as for some reason lamb is not on every restaurants menu but were informed shortly after ordering that the chef didn’t like the meat and that he would substitute rump instead. The chef recommended it to be cooked medium well which I went with, normally I would have preferred medium rare. The lamb was flavoursome but not as tender as I would have liked. The fish that the others ordered was also well cooked and presented. My conclusion is that this restaurant is well worth a visit for the views, statues but the competition at Kleine Zalse etc and others already mentioned is way ahead on flavour, presentation and value for money. My personal opinion is that DG needs to raise its bar

What a ridiculous place, we spend 4 days in the wine lands, so we tried many different wine farms. This was the most pretentious but disappointing. Location is gorgeous, wine tasting ridiculous.
In The first place were there were no mentions/explanation of the wines. We were served by a very unprofessional waiter, he kept looking away when describing the wines, like he was in a hurry. We ordered one cheese platter to share. At the end I told the waiter that one of the red wine smelled/tasted like cork, too late as he already brought the bill, without even asking if we were interested in something else. The bill included a 10% gratuity, for which there was no mention ANYWHERE on the menu. When I asked him how there was gratuity with no mention, he replied that it involved a surcharge for the food o ku, but the surcharge was calculated on the entire bill! It was very disappointing, how can you bring the bill to customers when they are still consuming? He didn’t even apologise for the wine, ridiculous, won’t go there ever again! The worst and most pretentious! Ridiculous waiter!

We enjoyed a wine tasting at Delaire Graff's wine lounge on Saturday 15 May 2021. Dillon, the sommelier, was a most knowledgeable and pleasant young man who clearly is well educated in the history of wines and has a passion for the wines of the region and especially those of Delaire Graff. We plan on returning, next time to enjoy the vegan menu at the Indochine restaurant. From the entrance to the estate one is surrounded by the most exquisite art pieces, many Lionel Smit paintings and work by local artists. The ambiance in the wine lounge with its purple leather chairs and inviting fireplace had us stay longer than planned and tasting more wines than planned!

Well, what can I say other than this place is truly breathtaking! The setting is absolutely stunning. There are sculptures and art dotted around the estate, which make it feel almost other-worldly. The views are pretty special, and then we have the wines! We only visited for a wine tasting but spent about 3 hours just soaking up the whole place. Special thanks to James for making the tasting so enjoyable during our visit. We can’t wait to be back to try the restaurants, or even the spa and lodges!

Delaire Graff is a full luxury experience.
Rooms are gorgeous overlooking the vineyard.
Every single detail is curated from the wooded ecological key to the bar where you have your personal kit to create your G&T😉.
For the kids room they have turned the bar in a full non alcoholic experience with juices and candies.
The personal pool allow you to relax at sunrise and sunset looking at a beautiful view.
Service is impeccable and the attention to details is faultless .
Try the Delaire Graff restaurant that is extremely elegant with very good food. You will be able to discover a real threat opening the wine menu .
Amongst the luxury hotels I have experienced in my life I think I can put Delaire on the top of the list .
Do not forget to test their wines that are simply amazing !
You can see the personal touch and elegance of the owners with a great team behind .
Well done

One of the best sunset of our lives. We really enjoyed our suite facing the vineyards, we were scared to be disturbed by the road down the hill but we forgot it quickly when we saw the orange sky with the nice aperitive placed in our room.
Thank you girls Thenyisa, Christen, Danika for being so helpful, it was always a pleasure chatting with you. T you are a natural at this job.
Thank you Marichen at the restaurant, your smile was always a highlight for us. Too bad the manager of the restaurant Indochine only came to greet us when we complained about a dish. We asked the waitress to surprise us and she brought us the most expensive s dishes on the menu, not even delicious.
The spa girl was never around, it will be nice to have a nice essential oil available for the steam room that did not smell good, the sauna was really nice as well as the jacuzzi outside. The property should have bikes available for guests, it will be a smart investment, we had to rent some for an outsource provider. The chauffeur booked for the VIP Bespoke tour forgot to drop us off at the wine tasting of Delaire
The overall experience was lovely.
