Uhm, I'm not too sure I want to post this here. So often I discover one of those hidden gems, and then spoil it by letting the cat out of the bag! I'm just too excited about our recent trip to De Doorns to keep quiet. I just fell in love the the little hamlet! The true gem however is... More

First off, somehow this venture is displayed wrong in Trip Advisor. It's not in Worcester, but the pickup point is at the Veldskoen Padstal on the N1, just behind (or before) De Doorns village. It's a trip taking about 5h in total with an train pulled by an tractor ( which has been modified to drive on rails). Along the... More

This train follows the old tracks intot he mountains above the Hex Valley. Its a great shame it does not go further, but the views are amasing, and the trip takes you through old africa at the time when the British were moving armies north to fend off various attacks. Its a great history trip!

Very interesting outing! You're taken into the hills on the old rail road tracks on a tractor, of which the trailors wheels have been modified. Beautiful scenery with stops along the way for a glass of Muscadel (sweet dessert wine). Most enjoyable!

Took my father-in-law and family on the express for his 70th birthday. All 8 of us loved the experience. Even with two kids under 5 they totally enjoyed the 5 hour experience. It was informative, beautiful and entertaining. Highly highly recommended.
