Visiting the Baclaran Market is not for the faint of heart. But you'll be able to get the best deals when shopping for clothes, shoes and other knick knacks. It is now cleaner and wider lanes to walk around. As always and in any part of the world, be sure to watch out for pick pockets. It is located right... More

I am from Indonesia, so we also have market like this strewn all over the country. Not recommend for tourist looking for cheap stuff. Most of the stuff are basically the same Chinese product marketed in Market just like this back home. Fun if you really love to see the culture. The food was great too. The beggar was well... More

A lot has changed... Now feel safer than before.... Cleaner area and no more trash on site... Road became wider when the bystanders were minimized...

Foreigners are often warned not to go to Divisoria because it is too dangerous. Well maybe Baclaran market is the next best thing - still a bit creepy - lots of street beggars (very small kids) will target any foreigners. Pickpockets certainly work there, and the prices for foreigners may be higher unless you really know how to haggle. but... More

I love this kind of market, the bigger the better. The market is open 24h. They offer fruits, food, clothes, plastics, whatever. I could send hours here, but the friends want to proceed.

The parking is always in contention plus the traffic at 8 in the morning. Although most of vendors are very kind there is one vendor that is less truthful and that lady is the 1st in the middle that sells shrimps when you enter the market.

Albeit definitely not as safe as Mongkok or Bugis but surely Baclaran is the best place to shop. That is when you are on a budget. Great finds and great crowds. Be ready to shell out a little bit leas and enjoy.
