Being interested in birds this was a must for me. Taking the walk around the mill pond with shelters was very nice. The tide driven mill was interesting and beautiful. As I walked along the beach from Olhao I saw birds in the salines. See...More

We spent a week in this area and loved the opportunities for birdwatching, walking on the beach in late autumn in November, and the beautiful landscapes with the tidal wetlands and the sandy islands, etc. Well worth a visit.

This was somewhat of a disappointment. Nice trails but there is so much garbage lying around and a major clean-up is required. A few animals can be seen but not much and the bird hospital was closed. This place has potential but some investments are...More

Worth a visit, 3km walk around, has notice boards in English describing the birds and sea life that can be seen, most of the buildings are fairly derilict, but good paths and worth the €2.80 admission!

We had a fantastic day out, strolling through the marshes, tidal flats and woodlands, taking photos and generally enjoying the flora and fauna. It was beautiful and peaceful and well worth the €2.80 entrance fee. The trickiest part of the day was finding the place...More

Under three euros entrance fee taken by a very helpful man who gave us a map and made sure we knew which way to start out on one of the marked walks and where the bird hides and tidal mill were situated. Not too many...More

I enjoyed the place. 2 hours on bike to see everything inside. The only bad things are the outdated toilets.

Nice helpful man at the entrance. He gave us a map and explained how we could do a shorter walk if we wanted to. This is such a lovely place for a walk. Watching all the birds. I have never seen so many crabs burrowing...More

Sorry about the delay in responding. You can enter and view the park on foot. I think the entrance fee was 2 euros, or something of that order.
