Neighbourhood: Recoleta
Characterised by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighbourhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centred on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.

to study in this place It was part of my carreer as engineer . This incredible building was built at the beginning of the XX century.
There were problems with the structural studies and for this reason the building couldn't be finished.
Many reinforcement were done in order to stabilize the construction and allow it remains erected. Despite of this , it is a beautiful building and one hundred years later it is still alive.

This Faculty, like the Law Faculty are beautiful examples of such buildings. Unfortunately too many stupid people spray with blacvk aerosols stupid remanrks that only distract the viewer. Perhaps they will day stop their idiotic actions and we can all enjoy the real, clean buildings. Well worth a visit!

Just take a glance, if you care, on your way to the Plaza Francia neighbourhood. It started off as the School of Law, then it was abandoned as the School or Engineering. It cannot be finished because the architecht misscalculated the whole thing, which took all of twenty years to be half-built. On might see it as an allegory for the country herself.

The architecture of this building, at times of terror that everything is falling apart, and at times, is a very mystical place. Architecture is impressive, and in that sparedes keep working classrooms, is very English style, is worth visiting the building. is in full recoleta of the city of Buenos Aires, I recommend going to see it

I am a teacher at the Engineering School of the University of Buenos Aires. I go twice a week and I allways find it attractive to walk along the museum space. There are distinctive objects that were used at that place a long time ago and any visitor can see models of great building projects that have been constructed in the last century

When we first bought our home in BA, we would walk past this building and wonder what it was, this massive and ornate building .. was it a ruin ? we were surprised to find out it was a school. I walked past this building just about every day for 7 years .. I miss it .. Gothic and enormous and wonderful.
