We booked a last minute appointment for a wine tasting. It was a comfortable and relaxed learning experience. The host, Baptiste, was warm and knowledgeable and thought about the wines we would like. The wines and cheeses were amazing! The perfect way to spend our last evening in Buenos Aires. We would love to do it again!

We absolutely love this place and have returned numerous times in our 1 month in Buenos Aires. Joaquin is hilarious and very friendly and Everyone who works here is super knowledgable and friendly (with good English). Come here, drink wine and meet cool people in a beautiful old buildings. This is what Buenos Aires is all about.

We arrived after having made a reservation via email (Facebook reservation system wasn't working), only to find that they did not have a reservation for us. After several anxious minutes for us where we both tried to find the email correspondence on our phones, they realized that they were not fully booked and we were seated. The wines featured that... A lovely shop in the heart of Palermo, this place its set up as a wine shop but works mostly with tatsings and wine events. Been in a prime touristic spot, a great part of the clientele are mostly tourists and most of the things are orientated to them in most of the aspects. The tastings are well prepare and... More

If you're thinking about getting some wines to take home, you can't go wrong with JA. Staff is super friendly and ask you a few questions to make sure you're getting the right wine. If you need, they'll pack it for you. Joaquin is not only a great professional but also an awesome guy! Totally worth the visit and next... More

Definitely try to make a reservation online but if not give them a call. Without a reservation we came in, met Joaquin, had a great tasting in the back. Returned the next day to pick out bottles for a case to take back to the States. Everyone was really helpful and respected our price point. They packed the bottles in... More

Wine tastings are on Thurs and Fri evenings and they are fun and informative.Your host and staff obviously have a passion for their work and we all benefitted from it. Even with a slight problem of being essentially non Spanish speaking staff and other tasters stepped up to translate and filled in the missing blanks. Mid way through the tasting... More

I had the most fantastic time during a wine tasting with one friend. The sommelier was incredibly knowledgeable, and we had good conversation with him. The wines were amazing from all different regions and all different types. I'll also mention that the cheese served with the wine was delicious! I even bought a bottle of Malbec to bring home. Ja!... Our first night in BA. We were tired but hungry. We located a small restaurant located to a hotel. We asked our waiter for directions to a wine shop and he kindly drew a map and recommended JA ( Lo de Joaquin ) A small boutique wine shop in Palermo. We were greeted by Baptiste a friendly Frenchman who spoke... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
