I have ridden horses maybe 4-5 times in my life, usually on vacation - in Mexico, Costa Rica, Iceland - and while I have enjoyed it, I've never felt comfortable or like I knew what I was doing. After reading reviews about Caballos a la Par I emailed to see about booking and found out this would be an entirely... More

A day to remember. Adrian and Miriam made us feel so comfortable...and confident...after a short course in riding. Beautiful countryside...and especially liked Cantering side by side. From the ritual of how to prepare Mate before our ride to the pastries awaiting us at the end of our ride....it was exciting and perfect!!!

I had an absolutely wonderful outing riding horses with Adrian and Miriam. They both were super kind and helpful. I was with my parents and girlfriend and nobody else during the ride, so it was personal and all about us the entire time. I learned different riding styles having no experience prior (other then riding in a single file line... More

My wife who rode a bit in her younger days was enthusiastic about going for a horse ride in Argentina. I had never ridden before, and was decidedly less keen on spending my precious half day off from my conference sitting on the back of a nag. I could not have been more mistaken. The day was a revelation. We... More

Adrian is just a wonderful person. We had a great time experiencing not only a bit of Argentinean culture, but getting to know him and his business. It only got better when we moved on to riding the horses, which were patient and well taken care of animals. They are very well trained and are capable of handling the most... More

Being in Buenos Aires for the first time (we are French living in Germany) we felt the urge to have an out time in nature. What a good idea ! 'Caballos a la par', run by Adrian and Miriam is set in the incredible 10000 hectar Pereyra 30 min. Southern from BA. The warm welcome led to deep exchanges about... More

My girlfriend and I are beginner riders and thanks to our teacher (Adrian) and friend ended up knowing how to ride. Adrian brings you to a national park 30 minutes from central BA. You start the training in his ranch and after 30min you go and ride in the national park. The activity can be challenging at times but totally... More

This is a definite must do if you are in Buenos Aires and would like to stretch your legs in the country side! We arranged the trip directly with Miriam via their website and then all arranged via Email! Got picked up downtown by Andrian in his pickup, then in less than 30min we arrived at their homely ranch with... More

I had the best day with Miriam on my hack- and can only reiterate what all the previous reviewers have said- memories to cherish for sure. Challenging in a good way for those that ride european style but feeling utterly safe with Miriam's patient guidance. Thanks a million to Miriam, Adrian, Tito and Maria for making my 2nd last day... I cannot say enough--the surroundings are spectacular, the horses are impeccably trained but still full of spirit, and Adrian and Miriam were hospitality itself and excellent, patient instructors. Would recommend unreservedly for any level of riding experience. This was probably the highlight of my trip, hands down.

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
