Right in the center of the humid pampa, bordered by a lovely riverside promenade, there stands one of the most ancient and traditional settlements in the Province of Buenos Aires: San Antonio de Areco. The tour includes a visit to this village and lunch and activities in a historical estancia (ranch) in the area.

This perfectly orchestrated side trip to San Antonio de Areco was the highlight of my travels to Argentina. Our guide, Manuel, was charming and funny, and his English was fantastic. The estancia served delicious food, and Don Oscar made our day with his singing.
