- sanddsheppardUniversity Heights, Ohio311 contributionsOlder tourists nice safe placeStayed three days on Soho, part of the larger Palermo district. Restaurants and cafe of all sorts are easy walks from most hotels. Although some may think it’s touristy, and it maybe, however, to me it had a lot of regular resistance. Lots of little shops. Very interesting street art.Visited January 2023Travelled soloWritten February 10, 2023
- Rochelle FRandolph, New Jersey973 contributionsGreat neighborhood to stay in Buenos AiresWe stayed a month in Argentina and in between our travels, we came back to BA 3 times to stay in Palermo (which we loved). We toured all of the neighborhoods in BA and decided this one suited us best. It is open and feels less city and crowded. There is a lot of restaurants and walking around at night was great. (like Soho, or the Village in NYC). Stayed at 3 boutique hotels: The Mine, Magnolia Hotel and Hotel Nuss, all of which were nice, although I think I liked the Nuss best. The Concierge,Claudio at the Mine had great suggestions and did get us a reservation at Don Julio with 1 days notice. A really cute neighborhood and great to walk to the Jardin Japonais, or the Botanical Gardens, some of the Museums.Visited March 2023Written March 26, 2023
- Bruce MCarlsbad, California585 contributionsOur pick for a nice neighborhood in an "OK" city.We do our research and Palermo Soho was highly rated. We are not city visitors, preferring the wild, but always find wonderful surprises. This neighborhood worked well for our six nights entering and exiting Argentina. Our boutique, 7-room stays at Miravida Soho could not be beat and local bistro Las Pizarras was as amazing as in every way. A walk or short taxi ride brought us to parks, gardens, and museums; a bit further afield were th sights on all the top-ten lists. But Buenos Aires is not really "the Paris of Anywhere" and in our opinion is not worth a special trip, but it does work well as a place to rest up from 24 hours of flights, airports, and time zones; enjoy good food (and wine), ; and be among really nice people.Visited April 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten April 7, 2023

We wanted to stay close to nice restaurants, bars and coffee shops for brunch and definitively this was the right place for that! - RazorfishLittle Rock, Arkansas3,766 contributionsPalermo neighborhood has a lot to offerIn doing my research before coming to Buenos Aires I decided to stay three nights in Recoleta neighborhood and three nights in Palermo. We felt safe walking around Soho at all hours. There are many good restaurants and coffee shops. We went to two street markets where my wife found a leather purse and we bought two paintings from an artist from Patagonia. We took an Uber to Villa Crespo to shop for leather. Palermo was a neighborhood that had a lot to offer.Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten October 29, 2023

Palermo soho used to have a vibe but the energy is long gone. Very touristy. Nobody sits at the bar. Indie and electronic music hard to find. reggaeton everywhere.

Great place of an evening for food and bars. We only had the night and our hotel was near here which worked out well.
Lots of food options, French, meat grills, Mexican, all sorts for everyone.

I went during the weekend and it was very crowded! Restaurants were mostly packed and took a bit of waiting. Nice area but if you prefer quieter areas, go during the weekday.

Hi
The plaza inmigrantes Armenia is very pleasant so check BNB or Trip Advisor for hotels or apartments around there (I would recommend apartments for any stay more than a few days) and you probably want to be away from Scalabrini Ortiz and other big roads as they are nice but busy and traffic flows most hours. Down towards Cordoba and up towards Juan Bautista the neighbourhoods get a little rougher but not dangerous. Right up towards the Jardin Botanica you are on the borders of posh Ricoleta with all its sights so if that is your taste (and they have lots of great ice cream parlours) then that is an option though probably more expensive.

Boa noite, estarei em Buenos Aires agora em Outubro e estou em dúvida onde ficar, Palermo Soho ou Recoleta?
Alguém pode me ajudar a decidir?

Boa Tarde, Nilton eu fique no bairro Palermo Soho, no hotel
