The area
Neighbourhood: Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.

Avenida Santa Fe is noted for its boutiques offering trending fashion clothing. I especially like shopping and dining in the Recoleta portion of the street.

Great street for shopping, browsing, sitting in cafes, etc. One of the main BA avenidas. We are renting an apartment on Anchorena in Barrio Norte - 5 minute walk to the Avenida. If you like shoes, this is for you!!!

Santa Fe is crowded, busy, loud and really just for shopping or to get from point A to B, as it has many buses and subte D. Maybe it holds sentimental value for Argentinians because it is grand, old street, but it is not for strolling or enjoying, unless you are shopping of course. It is really not very pretty, the shops are usually boutique like, but there are some bigger ones too. I do not really understand how it got so high on the list of the attractions in Buenos.

Avenida Santa Fe is a great place to go for a walk, solo or with friends and do a bit of window shopping. The street is chock full of local shops and cafes, so after a full afternoon of window shopping you can pop into any coffeeshop and sip on a cortado.
Keep your eyes peeled for little architectural treats as you walk, as well as the beautiful national bank on the corner of Azcuenaga.
Make sure to watch where you're going, however, because the sidewalks can get full of people doing the exact same thing as you. And, if you're not careful, your money can fly out of your wallet on this street with so many enticing shops!

Its a great way to spend a few hours walking through part of the city. Lots of shops and culture. It follows one of the subway lines, so at any point you can jump onto the subway

This is a very good area to walk about. There is a very good selection of shops and restaurants around here. The buildings are old and new architectural design.

Here you can find many places to stop for coffee, visit some of the shopping arcades, some from the old times of splendor..

A great street to walk down. Stores that sell about everything, restaurants to eat in and lots and lots of people to watch. There is traffic and it is safe to walk. Enjoy your walk as I did.

Whatever you need to buy, it is sold on Santa Fe. Not to mention one of my favorite bakeries and shoe stores .
