This was one of my runs. Intelligently, off I went without checking anything about the area - big no-no when travelling. However, it was a great run in the midday heat. The area is beautiful and in the city effectively, close to the Park Tower...More

This spot is like nothing I have seen before. A dry commercial area was flooded to create this lowland/water- covered area chock full of soooooo many kinds of birds and small mammals, and lovely indigenous plants and flowers. We were blown away by the site...More

Great to visit if you are bird watcher, jogger, walker, or bicyclist. It is so quiet and you can see the luxury high rises in Puerto Madero as you make your way about the many kms. of dirt paths.

Costanera Sur Ecological Reserve is remarkably close to the Commercial centre of BA. So, the variety of wildlife came as a considerable surprise. It has a variety of habitats and the outstanding animal for me was the Argentine black and white tegu (Salvator merianae) -...More

The walking/biking trails are numerous, scenic and extensive, but on the day I visited, there weren't many water foul, nor animals, to be seen, and all beach access was closed down.

The reserve works well for people who want to walk trails for exercise or pleasure but it didn't hold up to my expectation as a reserve. The waterway had lots of trash - more trash than waterfowl. We did enjoy the other birds and the...More

Ecological park made from reclaimed land between Puerto Madero and Rio de la Plata. The park has large lakes or lagoons and there are some wild birds and animals. It is a nice place for a walk. The entrances are opposite the northern end of...More

It's great that there's a huge park so close to a bustling city, and there are heaps of birds to watch/listen to. Also, it's a nice place for an easy stroll (flat dirt paths), and to check out the coastline. Finally, it's free, which is...More

This amazing wetland is only about a 20-minute walk from bustling Plaza Mayo yet contains more then 300 species of birds. I saw my first Hummingbird, a tiny Glittering Bellied Emerald, as well a Woodpecker pecking wood. A great place to just sit and enjoy...More

Having lived in some of the most eco-friendly cities (San Diego, Noosa), we are a bit spoilt when it comes to city walks, parks and such. The Reserva Ecologica is okay for us. The treks are a bit boring tbo but it's a busy place...More

quiet, relaxing atmosphere that contrasts with the
hustle and bustle of heavy traffic just blocks away.
Across the river, flanked by skyscrapers, are
