At 83 years of age, the theatre is in pretty good shape, with very comfortable seats, fairly good leg room and good view angles (at least from the first balcony). It’s not opulent nor very decorative inside, but the acoustics were good and enjoyed the concert.

If you're lucky enough to be in Buenos Aires when something you'd like to see is showing in the Gran Rex, don't miss the chance to see this venue. When it was built, it was the largest movie theater in Latin America. It's now used mostly for stage shows and concerts. We saw Gilberto Gil there once and it was really a special treat. Chances are, you can get good seats for a lot less than what you'd pay in the U.S.

Many renown artists' concerts and first class shows are held in its premises. Tickets can be purchased online through different retailers or bought at the ticket booth situated at the entrance. Just beware of seats chosen as some of them may provide partial or limited views of the stage.

Ticket opening very late: 12 pm when the other theatres open at 10. I couldn't buy 5 Rock School tickets because the ticket girl didn't accept Master debit or Censosud or Macro credit cards. Assuming they do not work with them he did not even accept the purchase with Mercado Pago with QR. Unwillingness of the employee to give me no solution. Impossible to move with so much cash. 13-07-2024

In order to buy tickets, you must download an application from the "Your Ticket" system. But to enter the room, the owner of the cell phone on which the app is located must be present. I mean, my wife and granddaughter can't go unless I give them my cell phone. Or, my wife also has to download the app to her cell phone, then I transfer the entries, but to do so, the system sends her an email whose instructions must follow so that the entries are recorded in the app of her own cell phone. All too complicated, so they lost the sale of 4 tickets, because we decided not to attend.

Great concert venue in the heart of Buenos Aires. It's all seated, but the atmosphere and acoustics are great. Apparently the venue has seen many famous bands, both local and international grace it's stage. There's also a Starbucks next door with free wifi (a real bonus in BA).

We caught a last minute show for Les Luthiers here. The theater is pretty modrn. It has huge staricases on both sides of it. Ot's huge, so make sure you pay attention where you buy your ticket. We got on the 2nd row of the 1st floor (which is actually the 2nd floor) and those were great seats. I must add.... amazing prices. However, I'm pretty sure that from the last seats you can barely see the stage. Sound was amazing as well. It has elevators for universal access but inside the theater lots of steps, so make sure to check that if needed. If you're in town for a visiti check what's playing in Gran Rex. We had a great time and really enjoyed the atmosphere.
