WE cheated and took a horse drawn carriage around all the gardens, as it was a very hot day. The gardens here reminded me of regents park where by you can take a pedalo on the lake, see the white geese that seemed everywhere and the magnificent flowers the likes i've not seen

I love the parks in Buenos Aries. I'd enjoy a quiet sit down or a walk or jog around this lake during the week. At weekends there are lots of activities and people getting together to enjoy the outdoors - pedalos on the lake, ice cream sellers - so good every day - lovely trees in blossom (purple jacaranda) in... Lagos de Palermo is a nice park to walk around with large grass areas to sit and relax or have a bite to eat. There are rose gardens on one side of the park which are worth a wander around also

I went here with my cousin on a sunday morning in the end of november for a morning run around the lakes. It was a warm but not yet hot morning, and the route took us along the beautiful blue jacaranda trees lining the lakes. Come here early as the crowds will arrive in the afternoon, where the traffic is... More

Really good spot to hang out on weekends and to leave the citylife behind even you're still in the city! Pretty nice environment to get the mind refreshed and paused.. much space and even on weekends not to crowded! for a walk or just sitting somewhere and read a book at this lovely place is too good to be true!

What a lovely place this is, one of the plus things Buenos Aires has is its grand landscaping created by Charles Thays early 1900's. Just taking the hop on hop off yellow bus will show you this area in its full glory, Buenos Aires is an incredible city to just drive by cruising at a chilled speed, that is if... More

Then is safe. But if you go into the woods more than a couple of hundred yards, and there is not much people, it is sad to admit it, you are at risk of petty theft...or worse. Never ever at night ! From Plaza Francia to Malba is ok, you will pass the Museo de Bellas Artes and across the... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
