FOLA ( Fototeca Latinoamericana ) was a discovery. We attended Vivian Maier exhibition, which is superb. The New York born amateur photographer, totally unknown till recently, displays a hidden sensitivity. Don´t miss it !! Besides, there is a pararell exhibition of " Humanae " the interesting photo project by Brazilian Dass. The gallery is basic, small, no coffee shop, but it has a shop where they sell photo books and manuals plus photo pictures. Anyway, FOLA is located within the open shopping mall Los Arcos, where there are many cafes and restaurants. Entrance: 80 pesos. There is a parking garage in the site, but if you prefer to go by subway, line D, Palermo station will leave you 3 blocks away, or any of the many buses that run along Santa Fe Ave.

The Vivian Maier exhibit is wonderful. Each photograph is so vivid and interesting. We also enjoyed the Pantone/People exhibit in the next room. The museum is small, so the visit was fairly short.

The current exhibition of Vivian Maier is definitely worth a visit. Check the time of the documentary before you go.

Luckily, we timed our visit to benefit from an excellent Vivian Mahier exhibition. A film explains her lifetime photography and discovery of her work. Well worth a visit.
