My experience with Sonora Wings so far is that I am a student of theirs and am really enjoying my time. Bill is an amazing guy that has helped me become a better pilot. He is very gentle and gives me all the time I need and has no problem with patience as he walks me though everything. All of... More

This was a bucket list item for me, but will do it again time in the area. Great fun. If you are not afraid of heights, you have to try this. Can go to either 2000 or 3000 ft, the 2000 ft flight lasted about 15 minutes. Instructors very knowledgeable and professional.

What an amazing day! This was the highlight of our spring break. Excellent service from beginning to end. Booking was easy, flight instructors professional but easy going and fun. Safety was never a concern--we had no doubts sending our 3 kids under age 11 up in the air. I would give Sonora Wings 10 stars if I could. The passion... More

My husband and I drove from Saddlebrooke and ended up being an hour early for our flight. The staff was so nice and started prepping the equipment so we could glide a little early. While Luke prepped the Dragonfly (an ultra light aircraft commonly used for towing hang gliders), Paul took us to the viewing platform and had us complete... More

Checked this one off the list today. My brother and I bought this on living social and decided to give it a try instead of sky diving. Without a doubt this was a great choice. We got there pretty early and went through the paperwork and flight instructions all pretty quickly. When we got up in the air, it was... More

First time ever Hang Gliding experience for me and my wife. Bought a Groupon for Christmas as our gift to each other. Fortunately it was a beautiful, sunny, clear, 80 degrees day We were warmly greeted when we drove in. It's a small operation with no real central office at the airport except a couple of freight containers for storage... More

This was a great experience from beginning to end. Paul is a great glide mentor/companion. I can't believe he gets to make a living doing this and I have to go back to a regular job. He makes you feel completely confident and chats you up throughout the glide. He said it was the closest to being a bird that... More

Both Paul and Luke were instrumental in making my flight at Sonora Wings unforgettable! From the thorough orientation pre-flight, right on through the actual tow to 2500 ft. and then the flight itself----words cannot really adequately describe the thrill...! I'd have to agree that Hang Gliding is the "flyingest flying" . Thanks Paul and Luke!

My wife and I did the mile high, and had a great time. The pilot/instructor was professional and fun. The mile high flight lasted 40 minutes, 20 minutes under tow and the rest gliding. We both got to fly the wing the entire time we were gliding, except for the landing. My big thrill was seeing a red tail hawk... More
