Right outside the main part of Mendoza and close to the airport, it's worth a quick stop if only for the outside sculptures. Inside is an exhibit about the founding early days of Mendoza.

In spite of having a significant portion of it closed for restoration, they organized an external tour to visit the ruins of a nearby church to compensate for it. Very friendly staff

It is interesting to learn about the history of Mendoza, particularly why and how it was founded. The museum and the guided tour of the ruins are worthwhile, but I wouldn't say it is a must see in Mendoza.

There is some interesting history here. The exhibits are nice, particularly those containing the archaeological remains of the old Mendoza city. There is not much to see in general, but it is still worth a visit, especially if you are into history and are interested...More
