This is located in the heart of the city and it is across the street from the Park Hyatt hotel. It's quite large - almost 18,000 square feet. Local crafts are sold on the weekends and we saw street performers there as well. At night they have a brightly lit sign which welcomes everyone to the city and the square.…

The plaza Independencia is right in front of the Park Hyatt Hotel on Calle Chile. It is only a couple of square blocks and to me, looks prettier at night when it’s illuminated. To note is that right in front of the Park Hyatt, on the Plaza Independencia side of Calle Chile, are all of the Hop On/Hop Off Mendoza City Tour buses.…

Nice plaza with large fountain. Abuzz with people selling their wares. Free public toilet in NW corner is convenient for tourists. Half is closed due to renovation.
