Small but more than I expected

It is not really big, but it has enough diversity of species and is really cheap. There is a children park next to it, so after the visit you can go and play your kids ;).

We ended up visiting the aquarium one afternoon because you get free entrance when you buy a ticket to the city museum. It is a small place, although they do have separate salt and fresh water sections, and a nice display of shells and starfish and other sea-related dry items in the lobby. But you do feel a bit sorry... More

The 3$ entrance fee is an indication of what you will get. There are a few aquariums of clown fish, pirhanas, a huge turtle in the centre display, a pond with many, many turtles and a good number of weird species. If you read every description of the 30 of so aquariums, you will dpend maybe as much as an... More

This place is I am sure interesting for kids but it is also a nice Mendoza attraction to visit for adults. You will see fish and turtles on display and some information supplied even in English. There is a fountain right outside and a park nearby. You can use the same inexpensive ticketing two other local museums.

If you find yourself in Mendoza for an extra afternoon and you don't particularly want to drink wine (again!), this is a nice little place to visit as you are walking around..(i wouldn't particularly plan a day around it).. some interesting fish and a few cheeky turtles.. certainly great for kids. it's very small and will only take you an... There we were taking the Hop-On and Hop-Off City Tour Bus (well-priced and comfortable at a bargain price) when little did we know that in deciding to walk from one stop to the next we were in the midst of the local “red-light zone”. Lying between the MAF (Museo del Área Fundacional or Historical Regional Foundation Museum) and the Aquarium... More

Fish from all over the world were presented here – my favorite was the exotic axolotl, an amphibious salamander from Mexico. These are pretty rare as they are endangered, but it looked pretty weird. The huge sea turtle, called Jorge, has spent 15 years at the aquarium, and is rumored to be 90 years old. He looked terribly sad, but... More
