Saw so much ch wildlife in natural habitat. Marsh deer, capibara, both in land and swimming, mating herons doing the acrobatic dance, and more caiman that I have ever seen! Even a rhea on the drive in. Suck unspoiled beauty. Unbelievable!

As a previous reviewer has said, it is a bit of a mission to get there and if it rains heavily the bus will not run as the unpaved dirt roads will just turn to mud. From Mercedes, we got the bus with Daniel Ortiz....More

I visited Esteros deal Iberá from Colonia Carlos Pellegrini after reading about this relatively undiscovered corner of Argentina. It's their equivalent of the Pantanal in Brazil and the wildlife is similar. Capybaras graze next to the enormous Iberá lake and black caiman laze in the...More

Firstly, the wetlands are amazing. But I'll focus on the practical information as that is more useful. I did this trip as a solo backpacker so if you have more money this may not be that useful. I got an overnight bus from Buenos Aeries...More

It's not a big place so not really a need for 'backpack around', take a bus there and stay a couple of nights in a hostel or camp.
