Situated at the confluence of the rivers, this viewing area on the Argentine side gives you views across to Paraguay and Brazil. A well kept safe area with craft stalls and food outlets. However, the main attraction is to enjoy the "three countries in one" experience.

So much for so little!

My 2-night stay at Puerto IguazúARGENTINA was unexpectedly highlighted by visiting this historic marker of the boundary between three countries (Argentina/Paraguay/Brazil). It is also quite safe because this site is fluvial, with no bridges. Even better was how inexpensive getting to/from the site; upon recommendation from fantastic ELBA (tourist info center), I took local Rio Uruguay bus for 35 Argentine pesos (one way). It is a huge attraction for locals & foreigners alike; the area has been developed into an immense park with picnic tables, vendors selling food & artisan merchandise, very easy accessibility and just plain pleasantry throughout. It certainly gets my hearty “iWheel of Approval!”

Great view where you stand in Argentina and overlook Paraguay to your left and Brazil to your right over the forked river. Interesting by day but at night the colored water fountains light up as well. Plenty of restaurants near by if you wish to see by day , eat, then by night.

Nice view

I went to Hito Tres Fronteras at sundown and the sky made it even more beautiful. Brazil and Paraguay can be visibly seen. I even thought I saw people from the Brazil side waving at us!

Evening stroll
Feb. 2020
This is no more than a viewpoint over the confluence of the Paraná and Iguazu rivers. Nothing to see other than the rivers themselves and lots of trees on the Paraguay and Brazil riverbanks opposite. The Argentines have turned their area into a social space which is actually very pleasant for a stroll in the evenings when you get a cooling breeze from the rivers and there are shops to browse and food stalls. As a spectacle though, nothing special.

Always great to stand on the border of 3 countries

Lively place in Puerto Iguazu with many souvenir stores and locals having an evening out. Wasn't a stunning sunset but still beautiful to see the Iguazu River and the PARANÁ River meet at the border of Paraguay, Brazil and Argentina. There is supposed to be a light show every night however we waited until 8.15 pm and when it didn't start we decided it was time to leave. Overall a nice spot in town for an evening stroll.

We visited here at sunset and was a lovely place to see the river and Brazil and Paraguay across the river. Mot that much to see apart form the view which is worth it.

While visiting the falls it is well worth taking time to visit the area where you can see three countries divided by the mighty Iguazú river.

This is the only place you can see three countries, Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay at the same. You can learn the history too.

A "must see" if you are in Puerto Iguazu
Jan. 2020
The best time to go is at night when they have the laser show. But, even if you go during the day time, you need to go. Where else can you see three countries and two rivers come together? You stand on Argentina with Brazil behind you to the right and Paraguay behind you to the left. It's pretty mind-blowing. At a minimum, get a few selfies there.
