If you plan to go here, you know who he was and his accomplishments. I going to tell you where it is and for all you backpackers out there, how to get there. From the ruins or downtown, take the main street, San Martin, southwest away from the ruins. Stay on San Martin until the end and take a right.... More

The art is amazing, one of the most important uruguayan writers of all the times. The place (the house and the zone) is not well mantained. The attention is not very good, and they only speak spanish.

Excellent place. Unique place to know all about the Jesuitic Missions in the Colonial times. The place is very well maintained and has a lot of care. many multilingual guided tours explain all the story of the Guarani Missions. Really worth to visit and to know each part of the Mission. I was not familiar with this author when I visited San Ignacio but based on some descriptions in some blogs, I decided to walk out there.
