Great museum, amazing preservation of the 3 mummies

The mummies were amazing. We like the upstairs section with the descriptions of the various volcanoes.

It is a very complete museum that has an innumerable number of pre-Inca pieces. It also has a very wide schedule from 8 to 7 pm and has guided tours in Spanish and English.

Well done and very interesting museum. It was enjoyed by all 4 of us. Small, but excellent and nicely organized.

This museum is closed for renovations. It is not indicated on their website. It was disappointing after the walk up there but I felt sorrier for the people behind me who pushed bikes the whole way up .

We took a cab to here and climbed the steps. Guy cleaning the steps told us it was closed for renovations. Nothing on their website said it was closed. Annoying!

Be sure you're in good shape to make the climb up to this museum. The structure is very attractive, but the exhibits are minimal and I was not impressed.

Its a bit out of town (quite a walk), and there is no information at all in English - neither as part of the exhibition or a guide (written or spoken) which makes it really hard to appreciate the collection.
