We pulled in and there were two tour buses full eating a huge meal. We caught the 3:30 tour and had a great meal whie we waited. ix of us got a great tour of the rookery and even though it is late season, breeding's over, molting in process and numbers significantly decreased but still an outstanding viewing.…

What a cool experience. There were thousands of penguins and they just carried on with their business in spite of the human presence. We were on a private tour that left late due to some issues with other persons in our party. This left us behind the curve and not fighting the crowds though we were worried at all times about getting back to the ship. Spoiler alert we made it. The lunch was amazing and though I don’t like lamb I loved this. This is a long way from the port on bumpy roads but well worth the trip.…

You could get very close to the penguins and there were hardly any other visitors when we were there, even though it was high season for tourists. The tour included a nice lamb lunch too. Over all it was a great experience.…

I think it was the best part of my trip to Puerto Madryn, first, we had lunch at the Galpón, we started with a "picada" with delicatessen, cheese and olives, after we had lamb. Just delicious! After we took the tour to see the penguins, I think I am in love with them! The service is great, you can walk and be very close to the lovely birds and the guide explains you about their habits, their babies... just amazing! ¡Asombroso! …

We rented a car and drove to Estancia San Lorenzo on a day that we knew there would be no cruise ships. It costs about $45 for adults to do the 45 minute tour which is much cheaper than the price it would’ve cost in Ushuaia so we were grateful for the opportunity. We were able to walk amongst the nests and saw penguins feeding babies, teenage penguins, and got up close to their habitats. The kitchen closes at 3pm and our tour was scheduled for 2pm so I asked if we could ore-order our lunch which they thankfully did for us. The roasted chicken was delicious and my girls actually ate the food which is saying a lot bc they are so picky. Natalia the guide was great! Her knowledge and facility with English were great. This is a must see! …
