Quaint, historic and friendly . Founded in the nineteenth century by some intrepid Welsh settlers this place is a must to visit, the local museum will show you some fantastic archive material and artefacts guided by a knowledgeable Welsh/ Spanish/ English speaker. Nice restaurants and...More

Cute little Welsh town founded by the Welsh Methodist looking for religious freedom. The are great bakers. A must is a tea house. Not only are the sweets extra special but we heard a group of local singers perform with their lovely voices.

Went to Gaiman on route to airport to kill time really- nothing like Wales!!! We drove around and found a place by luck where Princess Diana visited in 1995 (see pictures). Did not go in the house as you had to buy tea and cakes...More

Gaimin is a cute town but a long way from Puerto Madryn. The Welsh settled this area and the town still promotes its heritage, teaching the language in the schools. It's not an easy language to learn.

We went there as part of a tour to Punto Tombo. There is really absolutely nothing to see there and you will just lose one hour waiting. There is just one place (Ty Gwyn) that serves Welsh tea and cake... I would really advise to...More

We went there hopping to get some of the Welsh culture, however we got none. Architecture was in no way representative, even the "First House" was rather small and less than impressive. There are literally just a couple of restaurants where most were closed. Only...More

Fuimos por la mañana para poder caminar por el pueblo. Creo que no vale la pena al menos que realmente tengan gran interés en la gastronomía galesa. We went in the morning so as to walk around. I think it is not worth it unless...More

If you're driving through, take a few minutes and look at some old historical buildings that are identified by small plaques. But, do not go out of your way to visit the town of Gaiman and expect a Sturbridge Village or historically correct village from...More

We visited here on a Sunday afternoon, it is a small town with a nice community feel to it. There are a lot of people out and about. Not much is open on Sunday. In our perception the link to Wales is particularily evident. If...More
