When our concierge suggested we stop in this museum on a city tour of Trelew and surrounding sites, we were apprehensive. After all, Trelew is not exactly a booming metropolis. However, to our surprise, it was a very pleasant hour. Yes, hour. This is not the Museum of Natural History in NYC or the Smithsonian in Washington. It is a... More

Because our flight was delayed for two days (!) we had some time to kill. My husband reallllly wanted to go to this museum because: dinosaurs!! A nice lady from the front desk told us a little bit about the exhibition. She informed us that all important information was both in Spanish and English. A big part of the information... More

We visited this museum in September this year while on a tour of Welsh Patagonia. It is an amazing museum full of interesting exhibits and I would encourage anyone who is in the area to spend a few hours here. Some fascinating dinosaur finds and some amazing work being done at this museum. Well worth a visit, friendly and informative... More

I have heard a lot about this Museum before coming to the Chubut Area in Patagonia. Although the museum is generally nice, some of the exhibits were not very well exposed. The size of some of the ' Dinosaurs ' was impressive. What I didn't like at the film presentation was that all the 'stars' on the screen were disturbing... More

We made a special effort to get to Trelew to see the museum. It is a small institution but professionally developed into an education resource. The personnel were nicely-trained and the displays are well-considered for a wide range of age. It was a bonus to see the bones in the geographic area in which so many of the large dinosaurs... Fascinating information and pictures and some excellent exhibits set out in this wonderful old house. The curator was helpful and informative. Some of the signage could be refreshed.

The building & exhibits were a nice surprise. Think this is probably the main attraction for the area. The docents were very knowledgeable & helpful. The gift shop is small, but it isn't the reason you are checking out their finds. One of the largest dinosaurs was found in the area. Great place to take the kids. Pay attention to... More

This museum is very well put together. A lot of information put together on two floors. The exhibits are written in English and Spanish. There is a movie shown which depicts the origin of the museum. The gift shop was not open the midday we were there, not enough staff :( The restrooms were very clean. A nice way to... More

The museum has some excellent exhibits, however they are displayed poorly. The interpretive signs are very basic. In educational terms the museum is a museum piece in itself. It takes only a maximum of thirty minutes to get around. It is in need of a major renovation, which I think may be on the way considering the state of the... More
