Pretty good 'Che' museum for just 20 pesos

The museum was pretty good, housed in the barn (La Pastera), where Guevara and his motorcycle buddy Alberto Granado visited San Martin de los Andes in 1952 on their motorcycle on... read more

I was pretty excited to visit this museum cause it was raining during my stay in San Martin. Unfortunately there was not much to see. The stuff was nice but the museum was only a tv with a movie and boards with pictures and texts. At least there was a translation in English but to read Che's story I don't... More

It closes on Tuesdays and in the afternoons, re-opening from 6 pm - 10 pm. The information boards are in Spanish with a short resume in English and Portuguese, If you have plenty of time to spare, we really recommend the biographical film they show. Thisis a smallish museum dedicated to Che Guevara but it is full of information and details of his life. He spent a few nights in these premises during 1952 and since it has been converted. It is only a few pesos to enter and I learnt a lot. The majority of information is available in both Spanish and English.

The museum was pretty good, housed in the barn (La Pastera), where Guevara and his motorcycle buddy Alberto Granado visited San Martin de los Andes in 1952 on their motorcycle on the trip that inspired Guevara’s memoir, 'Motorcycle Diaries'. The two were offered shelter in the barn, La Pastera, and the night watchman fed them from a BBQ he was... More

I'm a Che biography fan, and the place is just one room with few articles and photos and that's it. And they charge 20$ Argentinian pesos. Waste of time.
