The hike out to this lake can be done from numerous different ways. I recommend coming down from Fray.. Its beautiful. The refugio itself is so quaint and lovely. If you have a few days, heading out here is totally worth it!

This lake is tucked in the mountains in a perfect location. An easy days walk from the road with a friendly refugio for the night.

After an 8 trek in difficult and hot conditions, this place is heaven, bathe your feet in the ice cold lake ready for the next days trek...

We walked from refugio Frey to refugio Jacob. The trail is stiff, gravelled, and dangerous. But view is masculine. Camp site at refugio Jacob was disapointing. We walked 3 more hours to find better camp site.
