Bilingual knowledgeable guides on the trip highlighted the local history and ongoing restoration work that is happening on the Isla Victoria. Pleasant cruise ship, beautiful scenery!

A very scenic (and at times bumpy) lake crossing takes you to the island, arrive early before the large tourist boats. Lovely walks with surprise views and interesting vegetation.

It was a private island owned by a rich family. They brought many species of big trees from around the world .

Despite the Island has mainly artificial (planted) forest is a beautiful place to rest or take walks around. The beaches with the crystal-clear waters are amazing. The remains of old aboriginals are not so good to see and were "enhanced" long ago.

The forest of Arrayanes in the Island is simply unique, these trees (Myrtles) are wonderful, delicate, cinnamon colour, cool to the touch.

We stayed at Alma del Lago, right on the water with a beautiful room and an incredible view.. Absolutely loved the hotel, and the surrounding area. The downtown area is under construction and could use some sprucing up, but the scenery is overwhelmingly beautiful. You...More

Was not terribly impressed, very little to see and just a sordid story of how the government effed up in the past by giving the island in concession to a rich family who started cutting off the trees and disturbing the natural equilibrium. There is...More

This was a marvelous half-day excursion that we combined with the half-day Circuito Chico tour, which we left at Puerto Panuelos. We sailed the Nahuel Huapi lake on a catamaran to Victoria Island--one not named for Queen Victoria, I might add--and then to the Bosque...More

I found this island to be like a winter wonderland filled with so many different types of pine trees and some soooo tall I had never witnessed, but aside from the walk around that lasted 30 minutes or less, not much else to see or...More

Hello Lukas, I am a bit too late for the answer. I think there is an afternoon trip to the Island. As I was there, we cross on the Island with another tourist ship. Nevertheless, you can as in any tourist office in town and... More
