Despite the Island has mainly artificial (planted) forest is a beautiful place to rest or take walks around. The beaches with the crystal-clear waters are amazing. The remains of old aboriginals are not so good to see and were "enhanced" long ago.

This was part of an afternoon trip we made, and isla victoria was quite pretty, with impressive trees, and forest.

The forest of Arrayanes in the Island is simply unique, these trees (Myrtles) are wonderful, delicate, cinnamon colour, cool to the touch.

We stayed at Alma del Lago, right on the water with a beautiful room and an incredible view.. Absolutely loved the hotel, and the surrounding area. The downtown area is under construction and could use some sprucing up, but the scenery is overwhelmingly beautiful. You...More

Was not terribly impressed, very little to see and just a sordid story of how the government effed up in the past by giving the island in concession to a rich family who started cutting off the trees and disturbing the natural equilibrium. There is...More

This was a marvelous half-day excursion that we combined with the half-day Circuito Chico tour, which we left at Puerto Panuelos. We sailed the Nahuel Huapi lake on a catamaran to Victoria Island--one not named for Queen Victoria, I might add--and then to the Bosque...More

I found this island to be like a winter wonderland filled with so many different types of pine trees and some soooo tall I had never witnessed, but aside from the walk around that lasted 30 minutes or less, not much else to see or...More

The boat ride to Arrayanes and Victoria Island is a must do while in Bariloche. Both places have very unique things and history. If you like nature this is the place to enjoy them.

We stopped here on the way back to the port and walked the trees along the water trail at 5:30pm as the sun was dropping and the colors came to life. It is part of the cruise package.

OK, so my wife and I did this through Cau Cau and let's face it, however you get to Isla Victoria is really a means to an end, it's a ferry, not an 18hr flight. Cau Cau were fine, we were comfortable and avoided the...More
