Apparently this place started life as a colony of early Swiss settlers (hence the name) and the style of the buildings certainly reflects that. It’s a very quirky settlement but, sadly, it has become little more than a tourist trap full of gift stores and cafes. We spent 10 minutes walking around and then left. If you are making the trip then be aware that the last 3 km are on a dirt track.

Nice place to stop to get some food in a fun environment. Lots of stalls selling different types of food and artisan products. Touristy, but fun.
