We went to a trip to Victoria’s Island and it was full. We needed to park very far away from the port.

This is where you catch the boats to Isla Victoria to see the red barked trees and the arboretum, as well as hiking with a naturalist.

Following a day' journey Crossing the Andes from Chile to Argentina, we arrived at Puerto Panuelo,Península Llao Llao, San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina.

Puerto Panuelo is a very nice welcome center to Argentina.

We were here twice. The first time for a walk to Llao Llao hill, returning to the port for a late lunch in the cafe as there was nowhere else to go. The second time was two days later to depart on the Cruzandino trip. The building is modern and well pointed.

This is the 1st port of departure for the andes crossing from Argentina into Chile. The building has toilet facilities and is surrounded by very scenic mountain and lake views. So pretty!

It can get crowded but has ample facilities and a cafeteria useful whilst waiting for the boat, so a pleasant experience.

This place is the departure for several excursion, and I must say that it is well organized and pretty pleasnt for such a port.
What makes it very special by the way is the surroudings, the lake, the hotel Llao Llao and the forest, it is just incredibly beautiful !

Be sure to buy the first class ticket on this tour. We upgraded when we got on the boat. I don't think there was much point in going on the boat if you don't sit upstairs (first class), plus you get servings of food and drinks three times on the tour whereas on the lower level you get nothing but a boat ride.
