Very nice, you can see icebergs, 2 important glaciers (Upsala and Speghazzini) and a nice view of the mountains and the lake. Landscape is breathtaking, even better than the Norwegian fjords tours. Some pieces of advice: Check the overall cost. $1500 (may 2016) is just for the boat. Add $300 for the transfer from El calafate to the port and... More

To be clear, I am reviewing the "Always Glaciers" Tour Company, that provided us with a tour of Torres del Paine Park, and transport from Puerto Natales, Chile to El Calafate, Argentina. This company is based in Argentina, and provides tours in and around El Calafate, for example, the various glaciers. The company also provides a tour of Torres del... More

Solo Patagonia is the actual and only company in El Calafate, which organizes the boat tours to the Upsala and Spegazzini glaciers. All other tour agencies in El Calafate go through them. We booked a tour from Chalten Travel, which we later learned actually works with Always Glaciers, another company, which organizes the transfers form the hotel and pays Solo... More

Although the excursion provides a long day, it was one of the best tours we have ever done. As we were travelling with children and had limited time in El Calafate we found the tour with Todo to be the ideal way to see Upsala Glacier and Spegazzini Glacier. We bought our tickets the day before and decided to splurge... More

If you go during the high season you rather buy it in advance or book it as soon as you get in the city, mainly if you plan to do it in the next day of your arrival. Despite of the fact that the boat is clean and organized, be prepared to face the crowd when trying to take pictures... More

I'll start by answering one worry/query that you may have, is 8 hours too long on that boat? I had the same fear too when my wife was insisting on doing this day trip. But at the end of the day, my fears were unfounded. We booked 3 seats a day before our tour at their offices on Av Libertador.... More

If you don't want to have only the image of Perito Moreno you have to take this tour. The views of the Argentinian Lake and the glaciars are breathtaking. The blues of the ice are much more intense and the cracking noises from the glaciar are stronger.

An organised trip is an easy way to do a tour, but it takes a lot of time. Pickup at 7.15, change to a bigger bus and board to a ship in Punta Bandera at 8.30 while the trip takes only 30 minutes by car...that is, if you have a car. In Punta Bandera we stood for 45 minutes in... More

This full day boat trip is well worth the money. You see the glaciers up close as well as the fantastically shaped ice bergs. The boat is comfortable and you can stay warm and dry until the moment you reach a scenic viewpoint. It is important to know that you must bring your own lunch. The bar on board only... More
