El Chalten. Out 7:30 am from El Calafate to El Chalten we travel about 220 km. We begin with the provincial route No. 11, then continue on Route No. 40, skirted the edge of Lake Argentino, a few kilometers later we see the Rio La Leona, stop about 15 minutes Parador La Leona, historical site has about 120 years there will consume a snack on site, then we get to Lake Viedma leaving little to reach mountain village El Chalten. There you can start a way to Laguna Capri and base of Fitz Roy, we leave them in the door path and walk a half hour, returning have the option of knowing Chorrillo del Salto, a spectacular place, may travel different paths. Swiveling auto trails are well marked, you can not miss. El Chalten has a diverse flora and fauna, it is a beautiful villa Mountain impossible to miss. If you get to Calafate Chalten you must visit !!! The Glacier National Park does not charge entry in El Chalten.

A glacier not to miss especially viewing it on the boat. Trip well organised with collections. Need to make sure you have lunch with you as the time to eat at the cafe is at the end of the trip.

I might take a while to get there of the cold but it's wroth it of waiting on the car. it is such a natural place to visit during winter, since i don't know what it looks like during summer

Take a quick boat ride. It's cheap and gets you real close to the glaciers for some on the water experience.
