This is probably a 2.5 as its not poor, just not as good as its potential. Having said this the company that runs the train have done a fantastic job in resurrecting the train and line, preserving a small part of the local history. The tour follows the history of prisoners of the initial Ushuaia colony and their trip to... More

This is the old prisoner train revamped into a tourist attraction. That is a grim reminder of human nature and history. It tracks lakes, forests, waterfalls showing beauty and occasionally natural devastation. Historically interesting. Worth doing once.

This was the biggest waste of money that we spent on a shore excursion from our cruise. Not only is this a kiddie train but there is nothing of interest to see along the way. They let us off to view a nonexistent waterfall after walking up a bunch of steps. The narrative was taped and was equally boring. You... More

The little steam train was only a short trip but the scenery along the way was magnificent and I really enjoyed the experience.

I suppose we had too high a hope for the train ride. When we bought the tickets and commenced with the ride, to our dismay it was almost a child's play. Without a doubt the terrain was beautiful and some history is interesting but all we saw was a water fall and tree cemetery.... Been there done that is all... More

This train ride gets an 'average' rating from me mostly because it pales in comparison to nearly everything else in Tierra del Fuego. The ride is slow, the narrative not fascinating, and the music horribly loud. Management of this company needs to learn that customers ought to come first. They uncomfortably cram too many people into the small carriages, after... More

On my last day I had to try this train. It was fun and they stopped a few times for the riders to take pictures. The conductor was very nice and it was a smooth ride

There is a long wait in the ticket booth. The train is quite slow and there are a couple of stops along the way. Not much to see.

This small train is fun since you travel through lovely areas of Patagonia. Yes, it's slow but a chance to see the area.

Waited a long time to get onto the train. All the coach doors were locked and the stewardess was opening only a select few and cramming 6-8 per tiny coach. Took over an hour to chug along so slowy along this track on this train which had only one available tiny slit of window open for 6 of us in... More
