Tarabita Pedacito Del Ceilo cable car A large parking lot by the side of the road. For $2 you have a short under 5 minute journey in the open car to the other side of the river gorge. It doesn't stop at the other end to get off, it stops a few metres short and starts the return journey. On the return it stops for a minute or so mid journey for a stationery photo opportunity. You've come this far, what's $2 for a bit of fun.

It didn't cost much, didn't take long, and was a fun little diversion to cross the river gorge in a metal cage and look at the waterfall from directly above.

We left Banus on the waterfall axis. It is the third focus in a row of three similar attractions. Nice but the alternatives are more interesting and longer. An excellent site for short periods of time or rain that you are not prepared for the weather

I was as amazed at the diesel engine moving the teleferico as the waterfall itself. The coolest view for me was after we crossed the waterfall and were heading back to the gorge. The video of us coming back over the waterfall is very cool.

This waterfall just over 11 km east of Banos, indeed looks like the white mantle of a bride. Very easy to reach by (blue) bus near the mercado in Banos (0.35$ one way) or on foot, either along the highway on the north bank of the Pastaza river, or along the Sendero de las Contrabandistas on the south bank of the river.
An open metal basket attached to a cable brings you to the other side and costs 2$. Good alternative for the zip line. You can also walk down to the bottom of the valley to get a view from down under.

I did this as part of the waterfall tour with Chebas Tours, although it's optional to pay the $2 to go across the river/falls. I wasn't a dare devil on the zip lines and other activities, but very much enjoyed this. The view of the falls and river is breathtaking.

I'm not one usually for heights but the cable car ride was absolutely amazing. Surrounding scenery is so beautiful. It's a must do experience!

Fun ride across & back. I suggest having someone take a photo of you from atop the building. Great effect!
There's a zip line next to this. Its fun but beware as it can leave you stuck hanging over the canyon. 😳

This was a stop on Servi Taxi's tour with Fredy. Very pleasurable as a part of a tour but maybe not a primary destination.

I am 71 and have some difficulty walking distances. Can I get to this waterfall and enjoy its beauty?

If you're reasonably fit, take your time and as suggested make sure you have somebody with you I think you'll be ok. Don't forget you can take the cable care, and the view is pretty good. I gave the machine operator a couple of $ to stop in the middle so we could get some shots and take it all in.
