To enter the waterfall and the Cauldron, you should take the route to Puyo from Baños, approximately 7 miles from Baños there is the Rio Verde (Green River) village entrance on the right hand side. Rio Verde is the starting point to access the Cauldron....More

Incredible views and fun to climb up behind! Be aware that the walk is fairly steep and in places low (nearly scrabbling). Also weekends/lunchtimes are busiest! Brilliant to see!

The waterfall is just a short walk from Rio Verde town. It is absolutely beautiful! You can walk right underneath the falls.

Spectacular waterfall. Don't take the transportation call chivas if you really want to enjoy it. Go by yourself and have a relax journey.

I hiked down to the waterfall with my guide, stopping along the way to take in the beauty. You do not have to hike all the way down, but I am glad that I did. The suspension bridge was disorienting, but an interesting experience.

There are two ways to see this waterfall. You can hike up from the bottom, or hike down from the top. Each way has a separate entrance. It looks like they connect behind the waterfall, but that is not the case. We only hiked down...More

Quite a good walk down and climb back up to the road. However, the walk itself is interesting for the trees, flowers and birds. The basalt rock features and the waterfalls themselves are impressive. If you wish, you can get close enough to get soaked.........More

Hi, There are 2 different waterfalls. Manto de la novia has teleferico over the river, very nice. We paid I guess 10$ for 2 people with the CD and pictures from our ride. For Pailon del diablo, you just buy tickets at... More

It's fresh water and it falls at a very high flow rate, I'd keeping my equipment at least 20 feet away and it's gotta be waterproof.

Yes that is very possible you need around 4-5 hours. You get the truck back at the end which takes about 15mins. The bike ride was 2 hours and the walk an hour. If you want to stop and do the activities along the way it will... More
