Visited on the way to Castle Hot Springs. The road is rough but manageable. Look for the wild donkeys/burros... very cute.

The site had beautiful views of the lake and when we arrived in the afternoon it was quiet and peaceful. Around 11 o’clock at night we were awakened by middle eastern music and live instruments that was unbelievably loud even when the source was easily...More

Be sure that your booking is not changed more than once or canceled, and DO NOT pay more than one night's deposit! I made a reservation for April 5th and had to change to April 12th. The RV spot was the same and so was...More

Good interpretive centre outlying history and biology of the area. Lovely views and lots of trails. We did the Roadrunner Trail which is an easy walk along the shore. Friendly staff, lots of picnic and camping opportunities...worth a visit.

Went on the Pipeline Canyon Trail. People do see burros on this trail - we missed them, however was a good hike anyway.

My friend lives nearby and suggested this. There is a daily park usage fee but clean restrooms safe trails. Nice parking lots. We hiked the Pipeline Trail. It is about 6 miles round trip and pretty easy. There are some steeper parts but all doable.

Park admission for vehicle $7.00. Hiking trails with beautiful views and an occasional donkey sighting. Good place to kayak or rent a boat from the marina. One can camp along the shoreline. Dinner or drinks at Dillion's Restaurant. Definitely reccommend spending a day here.

Nice to be able to go to a lake near Phoenix, less than an hour away. Water level was low, so that took away from the beauty. Parking was 7 dollars also. Very peaceful, not many people. Great place to kayak. I look forward to...More

No crowds on a Tuesday. Made it easy to dock. Water leveled lower than normal. Eleven dollars to get in.
