Hubby and I visited the Phoenix Zoo on a Saturday afternoon. What a great time! The layout was well thought out with exhibits placed close enough together that there weren't any unoccupied spaces yet not so close together as to seem on top of each other. Plenty of sunny and shady areas. Good variety of in park eating choices. Great... More

Phoenix zoo is a small one with enough animals to keep young kids happy. The place can be seen end-to-end within 4 hours. There are definitely better zoo in the country however one thing unique about Phoenix zoo is their involvement with the community (and vice versa). They hold summer programs for children (even teens) which are really educational and... More

This is a nice zoo. It's a little pricey but you can spend the whole day here. Go when the weather is good because there isn't much air conditioning.

We were hesitant after some bad reviews by guests who didn't understand the animals' perspective. The animals were well cared for. The exhibits were carefully designed. The staff were great and seemed happy to work there. This is a big place and we spent 7 hours there and walked 12,000 steps. We saw countless animals. I would strongly recommend this... More

This zoo is in the middle of Phoenix so it's easy to find. They have desert animals along with animals from around the world. There's a sting ray pool, butterfly garden, mountain sheep & a children's area. You can ride the train, go down a huge slide, see 2 zoo-themed short movies, play in a treehouse or just explore &... So much fun for the family. Animals well taken care of. We did the zoo total experience. Well worth the money. Train ride, 4D experience, and camel rides all included. Go early so you can see the whole zoo and enjoy your package. We missed only a few exhibits because we ran out of time. We got there at 11:30... More

We really enjoyed our family visit with our 2 years old twins. The kids really enjoyed the monkeys and apes. The merry go round was also a big hit

A nice place to spend part of the day. We had a good long walk, and enjoyed seeing many animals. Love the lions and tigers and elephants.

Looking for something to do , we went to the zoo and were pleasantly surprised at the beauty of the landscaping. I especially liked the desert setting of the "Arizona animals" . It's a great place to visit for a half a day.
