Kids had a blast walking around seeing all the different animals. Lots off hands on opportunities with some animals. There is a lot of areas to rest and eat with your family.

When I went it was closed at 2pm cuz it was too hot for the animals. I'm glad they don't force them out for visitors, but it's still a zoo.

Our third year at Zoo Lights left a group of little ones and adults a little disappointed this time around. There were less lights, less synchronized shows, and less animals. To the casual observer it appeared that the budgets had been cut - even the remote concessions were harder to find this time around.

Put on some good walking shoes to enjoy the sprawling grounds of this zoo. It is being revamped a bit so patience is ideal. This zoo takes pride in the fact that the enclosures are appropriate for the animals, providing ample room for play and prowling. Of course, this requires a little more energy on the guests' part, but this... More

We got a zoo membership when our daughter was born and it's been a great activity for us. It's nice to get out and have something fun to do where she can run around and have fun.

Great zoo with lots of attractions and layout is nice. Be warned you will be walking outside. There is some but not a lot of shade. So if going on a sunny day, bring a hat and water to keep you hydrated. Safe if you bring your own food for people with food allergies.

I loved the Phoenix Zoo! We even happened upon a Tour and got to listen to the very interesting information regarding the Zoo's Elephants, who are all Rescues! Unfortunately, some of the exhibits were closed because they were building new ones. Or, in the case of the Rhino, it had just died.

We visited the 25th anniversary of Zoo Lights with my wife's mother and aunt. Wheel chairs were available. The light shows were wonderful and the weather was perfect.

First-time visit to the Phoenix Zoo....why'd we wait so long?! :) Visited mid-day on a Friday and parking was free & plentiful. The zoo has the absolute best-looking carousel with endangered animals. The center of the zoo is a giant lake where there are islands (animal habitats)....it was really an awesome feature....much nicer to see the animals not in cages.... More
