Great place to go buy neat Chinese things. Not a great place to learn about the culture of China & its great people. -- The name is a marketing ploy. Bring your wallet.

I went here weekly because frankly this cultural center located off of 44th st & I-10 was unique, convenient and incredibly beautiful...then out of nowhere, they are packing up and pushed into a strip mall. Even if it is true what I hear that the...More

This is a a shopping center, not a cultural centre. Half the shops are empty/closed. The grocer is expensive compared to other cities and the produce wasn't very fresh. Having been there once, and being fans of most Chinatown areas we won't return here.

We enjoyed the Chinese Cultural Center a short walk from our hotel. Inside the gorgeous entry, gardens, fish pond and pagodas are restaurants and even an authentic Chinese grocery store. We ate twice at Szechuan Palace Restaurant. Food was excellent! Loved everything about this place!

Try dishes with ingredients you've never heard of, open yourself to great surprises. There is also a market where you can buy wood fungus and tiger lily buds and fermented vegetables and fresh and frozen fish. Food is very good.

I could spend an hour just roaming the grocery area looking at all they had to offer. Great place to learn about new foods and they have a wonderful array of cookware and Chinese dishes for rice etc. Huge tea aisle too! Bakery on site...More

This is an easy sidelight from many area hotels even on foot. It is a little oasis of statuary, water and landscaping elements with dining nearby. For a little culture shock, walk thru the chinese grocery as well.
