We are visiting Phoenix from Tucson for the weekend & seen this spot on Trip Advisor. We are glad we came for the 1:00pm FREE tour!!! NEW LOCATION/ADRESS: 1717 E. McDowell. We purchased a nice size bear with a full piece outfit, hat & two ribbons for $48!!! He got to stuff, hand sown back, brush, blow off with kid... More

The tour was short, but the tour guide was very pleasant and really welcomed questions. Some prices at the gift shop were a bit more than similar chain stores, but the employees seemed happy and the working environment was pleasant. (There are only a couple similar factories in the whole U.S.) It was fun to see some of the "oops"... More

Our small children loved to tour the factory; however, we were so disappointed by the prices at the end of the tour. If you child wants to make a bear that is about the average size of a "Build-a-Bear" doll you will find yourself handing over $50 just for the bear and the clothing averages about $7-10 a piece. I... I expected so much more from the presentation and tour at Stuffington Bear Factory, but it was simple and short, perfect for the kids...young kids. Each of my kids stuffed an animal after the tour. Not a whole lot of animals to choose from, but they were happy. It was fun to do something different on our day-tour of Phoenix.

To call this a factory is some kind of overstatement. It's more a sewing shop, so don't expect too much. But it's a free tour (daily at 1 pm) and you learn quite a bit about teddy bear history and manufacturing. In this place it's all about 'made in USA' and it is amazing how this factory withstands the overwhelming... More
