This is my favorite hike around Scottsdale. Its a challenge for sure, even for someone in good shape, but the views at the top are well worth it! Get there as early as you can, because parking is very limited.

Be prepared to hike one of the toughest trails in the area. You cannot drink enough water to replace what you will lose when you get about half way up. Deep terrain make this expert level and not for out of shape hikers. The views...More

Great views of the surrounding areas validate this absolutely brutal climb. The steepness really picks up around 2/3 of the way up the mountain, so it's a nice place to turn around for more casual hikers.

We took off a little late but the weather wasn't too hot with a nice breeze. We only went to the saddle back part of the hike but it was fine for a pregnant lady. The view is still spectacular.

Love the view when you get to the top. It is a bit challenging to get up there, but that's why it is a nice workout. Very busy because everyone hears about it and wants to check it out. You will not disappoint!

Climbing Camel Back Mtn on the Echo Canyon Trail was a very cool experience!! It is more of a climb than a hike but worth the effort. Go early in the day to beat the heat and the congested parking situation. Definitely bring enough water...More

Very convenient for folks staying in Scottsdale, plenty of parking and a public rest room. I brought my 13 year old daughters. There's a few beautiful vistas within the first 20 minutes. There's a low vertical "loop" for mild hikers to stay on. More adventurous...More
