We visit Watson Lake often for opportunities to rock climb, kayak, and hike. It is so easily accessible. Small enough to get around quickly, but big on views and fun! Great place to spend the day.

We brought our own kayaks and used the south boat launch area to put them into the lake. You can rent kayaks there and there is also a north launch area. We had a picnic lunch there. Also played the disc golf course - not...More

Beautiful place to unwind and do a bit of rock climbing or hiking. Kayak rental was closed but would have been fun too. They are having a Celtic festival this weekend in the park.

Although we visited during an August weekend and expected it to be overrun withpicnickers, there was plenty of parking and many places to walk or hike without being overwhelmed by too many people on the trails or by screaming children. City owned, we couldn't use...More

We decided to do a day trip to Prescott, and to check out some places we hadn't been before. Our first stop was Watson Lake, and it far exceeded our expectations! It is absolutely stunning. There was beauty everywhere we looked. We weren't prepared to...More

One of the most beautiful lakes I have seen! I love to do outdoor photography and this is an excellent place for that. I will definitely go back next time I visit Prescott.

The Granite Dells around the lake are absolutely beautiful! Great place fro non-motor boating, kayaking, paddle boarding. Well marked trail system around the Dells. Must see park!

Very close to the center of Prescott. A nice place to hike, various places for a picnic (some covered areas), kayaking rentals available, interesting terrain.

It is a beautiful lake with unusual rock formations and well kept public facilities such as restrooms and picnic areas. We left the easy to walk 'bike path' to hike through the rocks after reading the sign regarding the path becoming more difficult. This is...More

There is a boat ramp at the park to put kayaks in. We didn’t kayak but saw some people putting theirs in. The park is very small so you will find it quite easily.

I do not know about camping permits, but did see campers. Yes, there is frisbee golf. Saw the baskets along the trail that sides the lake. Have fun. Make sure to visit downtown Prescott - lots of great places to eat and shop.
