The trailhead sign and parking area off of Glassford Hilll Road does not access the trail. If you go under the road through the wash like the map shows, there is no longer a trail on the other side because the Granville development wiped it...More

Since Granville ruined the beauty of the first two miles of this trail, it takes a while to get into nature. Once you're in, though, it is beautiful.

Very easy hiking along a historic route thorugh beautiful scenery. The Iron King trail connects with the Peavine Trail, another historic rail route that ran from Prescott to the Grand Canyon.
