Slide Rock is a fun place to visit. They DO prefer credit cards which is nice. Seems like the water is a lot lower then I remember when I was younger. Is AZ drying up? I don't really know. If you watch long enough, you will see someone slip on the slick rocks. Not sure what people are thinking. Have... More

A tour guide mentioned this park as a unique place to visit. It is a state park and does have a $10 per vehicle fee. Beautiful paved walkways, but steep steps down to slide rock. Would be great place to swim in warm weather. The sliding part comes from the fast moving creek sliding the swimmers single file between the... More

A fun place to go on a hot day. We hiked around the park and walked in the water. The "water slide" is swift and quite cold. Lots of people ride chute for a fun ride. The park is not too big and the natural water slide is the main attraction.

Our friends took us there because this is where they used to take their children to swim whilst on holiday in Sedona. Beautiful setting, Sedona is just amazing.

We stopped here while exploring the Sedona area and were really glad that we did. It costs $10 per car to get in, but the walking paths are smooth, bathrooms are clean and the area is well maintained. There are steps that go down to the river so it would be difficult for anyone with joint problems or walking difficulties... More

We were visiting Sedona and my daughter found out about this gem in the Oak Creek Canyon. The State Park has a large parking lot. A short distance away, there are historic landmarks from the family that had owned the land where the park is located. Since we are not from the area, this was really interesting for me to... More

Great time for families and kids of all ages...BUT...you can have a similar experience elsewhere for free. I take my children down to Red Rock Crossing and we hike the trail paralleling the creek until we get to a very slick "slide" rock where we play and slide. There is a waterfall to slide down and a lot of nature... More

Cool place to stay cool when the heat is on. It gets packed quick, so show up early. Fun to slide down the rocks. The water is chilly, but wasn't too bad in early October.
