Breathtaking in its red rock beauty, the Canyon is a spectacular 16-mile gorge with streams and waterfalls between sheer rock walls.

When visiting Sedona for the first time, I highly recommend starting out with a drive up Oak Creek Canyon before doing anything else. It is a picturesque 15 mile winding drive along Oak Creek itself before ascending to stunning lookout and vantage point where Native...More

THis is a gorgeous drive. We happened to be there in January and it snowed so we could not complete the drive on this trip. However, we stopped at a cute cafe for cookies and tea. I want to finish the drive on another day.

The drive between Flagstaff/Sedona is not to be missed! Especially on a motorcycle. If you can stay in a place there, all the better. Very peaceful and beautiful.

Despite the present road-works, this is a beautiful ride whether out of Sedona or out of Flagstaff. Take it easy and enjoy the small restaurants along the way.

We drove through the canyon for a day trip. You can also take Rte. 89A to Flagstaff and on your way to the Grand Canyon. We stopped at Slippery Rock State Park for a walking tour along the creek. There is some awe inspiring vistas...More

It's a beautiful ride from Sedona to Flagstaff, BUT it takes much longer than going by I-17. And this is especially true now that there is construction with inevitable delays. Not sure it's any more scenic than the ride from Village of Oak Creek to...More

If you are staying in Sedona take a look at the pink jeep tour's. We took two of them /one to the ancient ruins and another to slot canyons. These tours are well run and the scenery is beautiful. The guides are educators and... More

Unless construction completed I would avoid. Traffic was not the problem. Road was DIRT with huge ruts and holes. Glad we were in a rental car- I was worried about the axle

Yes, there's Slide Rock it has a cost to get to that part of Oak Creek near Sedona. It was made a park. The creek has a lot of camp sites all along it which may have swimming holes if the water has gotten deep enough.
